Lipsky, Louis
(1870-1963)
   American Zionist leader, journalist and author. He was born in Rochester, New York. He founded the Zionist periodical The Maccabean in 1901, and also edited the American Hebrew. From 1922 to 1930 he was president of the Zionist Organization of America. He was a founder of Keren ha-Yesod, the Jewish Agency, and the American and World Jewish Congresses. His writings include Thirty Years of American Zionism.
